The AFI is a multi-stage capacity-building program designed by the New Africa Fund (NAF) to equip African organizations with the practical skills, resources, and institutional support needed to build sustainable funding pipelines, broaden their reach, and deepen their impact.
The program consists of the following:
Online Training: Up to 150 selected organizations will receive specialized training in the foundational skills needed to run successful small-donor fundraising campaigns.
30-Day Challenge Month: Participants will put their new skills into practice by launching live fundraising campaigns, with the opportunity to receive up to $5,000 in matching funds from the New Africa Fund.
Fiscal Sponsorship: To reduce administrative barriers, all participating organizations will receive 12 months of free fiscal sponsorship.
In Person Training in Kigali, Rwanda: The 20 top-performing organizations will be invited to an all-expenses-paid, week-long, in-person boot camp focused on strengthening their fundraising and leadership skills.
