The African Union International Centre for Girls' and Women's Education in Africa (AU CIEFFA), in partnership with ImpactHER, has officially opened applications for its Fully-Funded Online Capacity Building Training, an initiative designed to equip young Africans, women and men, entrepreneurs, educators, and aspiring business leaders with the practical skills needed to thrive in today's digital economy.
The programme reflects the African Union's commitment to closing the gender gap in ICT, advancing education, innovation, and entrepreneurship, by providing participants across Africa with access to high-quality virtual learning at no cost.
The comprehensive training will focus on four key areas:
Participants will gain practical knowledge, industry-relevant insights, and essential tools to improve their employability, strengthen their businesses, and contribute meaningfully to sustainable economic development across the continent.
Speaking on the initiative, the organisers noted that empowering African women and youth with future-ready skills remains critical to achieving inclusive growth and unlocking Africa's full economic potential.
This programme is more than a training course. It is an investment in Africa's future workforce and entrepreneurs. By equipping participants with practical digital, financial, and entrepreneurial competencies, we are creating pathways to innovation, economic independence, and sustainable development.
The training will be delivered entirely online, enabling participants from all African countries to learn remotely and engage with experts and fellow participants across the continent.
