About this Opportunity
Digital Africa, a subsidiary of Proparco (AFD Group), promotes the development of tech in Africa. We invest directly in innovative startups, focusing our efforts on ecosystems underserved by traditional investors.
Our ambition is to give African entrepreneurs the means to deploy innovative solutions on a large scale, capable of meeting the concrete needs of populations and impacting the real economy.
FUZÉ-20.000-100.000 Euros, 30 startups a year
- Idea: Even at the concept stage, the company may still be in the process of being incorporated. Digital Africa is ready to become your largest shareholder.
- Prototype: Fuzé invests in the earliest stages of project development, much like a business angel. You build your first version and test your key assumptions with support from Digital Africa.

Beta testing: Fuzé supports market validation with grants of up to 100K€. You can test your solution with early adopters and refine your business model
before moving on to the seed funding stage.
DA Seed Fund-300.000 Euro average, total fund 30 Million
- MVP — Minimum Viable Product: The DA Seed Fund provides an initial investment of approximately 300K€, designed to fund concrete milestones that truly shift the startup’s risk profile and accelerate its path to traction.

Traction: DASF is a seed fund designed to empower founders by helping them scale their startups. It supports their growth through to Series A.
Series A and Beyond — Proparco and Other Growth Investors Take the Reins
- The startup has demonstrated its ability to generate traction and profitability over the long term. It needs to scale up and is planning to raise a substantial Growth round. Proparco (through its Choose Africa initiative) and other professional investors will find qualified investment opportunities among DASF startups.
